New year, new trends and new fashion styles! Fashion Trends emerge with some eye-catching and memorable looks. Some trends never die, returning with newly discovered modern looks. In 2023, this is the case as the majority of new trends are a great addition to the fashion world.
New trends introduced this year and emerging trends…
Painted Nails – This trend may be very feminine but it’s become more mainstream. A lot of masculine men opt to apply colourful nail varnish to elevate their look and predominantly for self-care and grooming. ‘MANicures’ are now commemorated as we live in an environment where anyone can express themselves how they please. Celebrities like: Harry Styles, Tyler the Creator, ASAP Rocky and many more even apply nail art and it is really cool!
Cargos – A variety of 2000s trends have been brought back into fashion and Cargo pants are popular due to how comfortable and convenient they are for everyday wear.
Crocs – Crocs are popular for a number of reasons. They are lightweight, comfortable and stylish; making them ideal for a variety of activities and settings. Additionally, they are incredibly durable and easy to clean. You can wear them over and over again without sacrificing on quality. Lastly, they are affordable and come in a wide range of styles to suit any taste or preference.
Bucket Hats – This emerged in the late 90s but has re-emerged into the fashion scene. Bucket hats are an iconic staple piece especially in the hip-hop fashion culture. It can be worn in all seasons, not just for summer and it is a must have accessory!
Cut out Clothing – Wearing cut-out clothing portrays self-expression by showing more skin in a dystopian fashion sense to make you feel more appealing. Often seen in techno and rave scenes. This daring trend is a very unique design.
Hi-Vis Vest– There has been an increase in the use of high-visibility clothing as a fashion statement. This trend has been seen in streetwear, with brands such as: Off-White and Supreme releasing their own versions of the vest. It looks like high-vis vests will continue to be a part of streetwear style for years to come!
I certainly will be trying out new trends and fits to see what suits me.
When it comes to Fashion trends you have to have the foresight to predict what will become popular in the future by staying up-to-date on current trends so you’ll be one step ahead from the competition.
